How will bus routes change for September 2010?
For the month of September, buses will continue to use the existing routes. For most families, this means stops will remain unchanged for September. Routes can be viewed by linking to the Transportation area on the CSF web site. Check the web site on August 15th, 2010 to see if your current stop time may have been adjusted to accommodate the addition and deletion of stops on the route. You may also use the Web Query function on the website to see the stops and times available for your address. Approved secondary stops remain in effect for September.
We have moved and our kid will be attending a new school. How do we find our bus route and bus schedule?
When you register at your new school, you will need to complete a “Student Bus Transportation Application” form which is available at the school and beside this text. Once completed, the form will be faxed by the school to the bus contractor. If you provide an email address on the application form, your route and stop information will be emailed to you by the bus company. If you do not provide an email address, your stop and route information will be emailed to the school office to be forwarded to you. You may also use the Web Query function on the website to provide you with an indication of eligibility and to see the stops available to you based on your home address.
We are staying in the same school attendance area but moving to a different address. How do we find our bus route and bus schedule?
You need to complete a “Transportation Change of Address” form which is available at the school. Once completed, the form will be faxed by the school to the bus contractor. If you provide an email address on the application form, your new route and stop information will be emailed to you by the bus company. If you do not provide an email address, your stop and route information will be emailed to the school office to be forwarded to you. You may also use the Web Query function on the website to see the stops available to you based on your new home address.
How long does it take to integrate new registrations and address changes into the routes?
Our target date for integrating new registrations and address changes is September 15, 2010. Our experience tells us that September 30th is a more realistic date for schools that have a high rate of student turn-over and a large number of late August-early September registrations. New registrations and address changes are dealt with on a priority basis and are processed in the order received. Using the new forms will allow for faster turnover and provide a paper trail for files.
Who is responsible to look after my child on their way to the bus stop?
