Les \u00e9l\u00e8ves ont \u00e9t\u00e9 profond\u00e9ment touch\u00e9s ; l\u2019un d\u2019eux a confi\u00e9 avoir mieux compris les r\u00e9alit\u00e9s autochtones en une heure et demie que durant toute sa scolarit\u00e9.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous lui avons pos\u00e9 quelques questions pour mieux comprendre son r\u00f4le, ses inspirations et les valeurs qui guident son travail aupr\u00e8s des \u00e9l\u00e8ves.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary><strong><em>1. Peux-tu nous expliquer en quoi consiste ton r\u00f4le d\u2019intervenant jeunesse autochtone \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole&nbsp;Au-c\u0153ur-de-l\u2019\u00eele&nbsp;? Et qu\u2019est-ce qui te passionne le plus dans ce que tu fais au quotidien avec les \u00e9l\u00e8ves ?<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;<\/summary>\n<p><em>Mon r\u00f4le consiste \u00e0 aider les \u00e9l\u00e8ves autochtones sur les plans social, \u00e9motionnel, acad\u00e9mique et culturel, selon les besoins sp\u00e9cifiques des \u00e9l\u00e8ves. Ce qui rend ce travail passionnant, c\u2019est la diversit\u00e9 des interventions possibles. Au-del\u00e0 du soutien individuel, il peut aussi inclure la collaboration avec les familles, les pr\u00e9sentateurs culturels, d\u2019autres \u00e9l\u00e8ves ou encore des membres du personnel. Peu importe la forme que prennent ces d\u00e9marches, l\u2019objectif demeure le m\u00eame : contribuer au bien-\u00eatre et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9panouissement des \u00e9l\u00e8ves autochtones.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary><strong><em>2. En quoi ton r\u00f4le contribue-t-il \u00e0 b\u00e2tir des ponts entre les cultures pour l\u2019ensemble des \u00e9l\u00e8ves de l\u2019\u00e9cole ?<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;<\/summary>\n<p><em>Dans notre \u00e9cole, comme l\u2019effectif est assez grand, nous avons la chance de disposer d\u2019un local pour les activit\u00e9s de l\u2019intervenant autochtone. C\u2019est devenu un espace ouvert \u00e0 toutes et \u00e0 tous, o\u00f9 les \u00e9l\u00e8ves autochtones comme allochtones se retrouvent r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement. Cela contribue \u00e0 la qualit\u00e9 de vie sociale de l\u2019\u00e9cole et d\u00e9montre l\u2019importance que nous accordons, en tant que communaut\u00e9 \u00e9ducative, aux cultures autochtones.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Je collabore \u00e9galement avec le personnel enseignant pour organiser diff\u00e9rentes activit\u00e9s en classe. Lorsqu\u2019un&nbsp;pr\u00e9sentateur\u00b7trice&nbsp;vient \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole ou qu\u2019une sortie est pr\u00e9vue, il est souvent avantageux d\u2019avoir une \u201cclasse h\u00f4te\u201d \u00e0 laquelle se joignent les autres \u00e9l\u00e8ves autochtones. Cela favorise les \u00e9changes, la curiosit\u00e9 et une meilleure compr\u00e9hension entre les cultures.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary><strong><em>3. Quels sont les plus grandes satisfactions&nbsp;que tu rencontres dans ton r\u00f4le ?<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;<\/summary>\n<p><em>Mes plus grandes satisfactions ont \u00e9t\u00e9 ressenties dans des cas o\u00f9 j\u2019ai pu faire une diff\u00e9rence positive pour une famille. Par exemple, j\u2019ai aid\u00e9 une famille \u00e0 acc\u00e9der \u00e0 des ressources qui ont men\u00e9 \u00e0 un diagnostic d\u2019autisme pour leur enfant, ce qui leur a donn\u00e9 acc\u00e8s \u00e0 du soutien adapt\u00e9.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\"><summary><strong><em>4. Comment accompagnes-tu les \u00e9l\u00e8ves autochtones dans leur identit\u00e9 et leur parcours scolaire ?<\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;<\/summary>\n<p><em>Cela d\u00e9pend beaucoup de chaque \u00e9l\u00e8ve. D\u2019abord, je prends le temps de conna\u00eetre les racines autochtones de&nbsp;chacun\u00b7e&nbsp;et de m\u2019informer sur ces diff\u00e9rentes cultures. Ensuite, nos apprentissages se construisent ensemble, c\u00f4te \u00e0 c\u00f4te, avec des activit\u00e9s, des lectures et des discussions.&nbsp;Certains \u00e9l\u00e8ves souhaitent cr\u00e9er un lien plus \u00e9troit, d\u2019autres pr\u00e9f\u00e8rent garder une certaine distance, il faut respecter ces diff\u00e9rences. De m\u00eame,&nbsp;certain\u00b7e\u00b7s&nbsp;veulent en apprendre davantage sur leur culture, tandis que d\u2019autres non. Nous avons aussi des activit\u00e9s plus g\u00e9n\u00e9rales et rassembleuses, comme l\u2019\u00e9limination de plantes invasives dans notre petite for\u00eat, ou encore des moments de jeux de soci\u00e9t\u00e9 pendant les r\u00e9cr\u00e9ations, qui nous permettent de tisser des liens.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Une fois ces liens \u00e9tablis, il devient plus facile d\u2019accompagner les \u00e9l\u00e8ves, que ce soit sur le plan acad\u00e9mique, social ou \u00e9motionnel. Le local autochtone, avec son atmosph\u00e8re chaleureuse et accueillante, joue un r\u00f4le important : on y lit, on y partage des repas et on y fait des bricolages comme du perlage, par exemple.&nbsp;J\u2019organise aussi des sorties et des ateliers, toujours dans le but d\u2019\u00eatre expos\u00e9 \u00e0 des personnes et \u00e0 des connaissances autochtones inspirantes.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/details>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour Mathieu, ces activit\u00e9s permettent de faire vivre la r\u00e9conciliation de mani\u00e8re concr\u00e8te :&nbsp;<strong>\u00ab Les Autochtones racontent bien mieux que nous leurs propres histoires. \u00c0 travers leurs voix, on comprend la beaut\u00e9 et la douleur de leur histoire, qui fait partie int\u00e9grante du Canada. \u00bb<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prochainement,&nbsp;<strong>Mathieu<\/strong>&nbsp;souhaite poursuivre ce travail en cr\u00e9ant, avec&nbsp;<strong>Marie-Claude Lessard<\/strong>, une activit\u00e9 d\u2019art et de recherche \u00e0 grandeur d\u2019\u00e9cole autour du&nbsp;<strong>corbeau<\/strong>, oiseau espi\u00e8gle et symbole fort, qui vient quotidiennement visiter les fen\u00eatres de l\u2019\u00e9cole.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"769\" src=\"https:\/\/www.csf.bc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_5041-1024x769.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-15089\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.csf.bc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_5041-1024x769.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.csf.bc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_5041-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.csf.bc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_5041-768x576.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.csf.bc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_5041-1536x1153.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/www.csf.bc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_5041-2048x1537.jpeg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\" style=\"font-size:18px\">Pour&nbsp;<strong>Bonnie L\u00e9pine-Antoine<\/strong>&nbsp;(Michif \/ Wendat), directrice de la R\u00e9conciliation et de l&#8217;\u00c9ducation autochtone au CSF :&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-e0af0a2a7850c30714217a9cfc1a3dc6\" style=\"font-size:18px\"><strong><em>\u00ab Mathieu incarne un v\u00e9ritable alli\u00e9 des communaut\u00e9s autochtones et joue un r\u00f4le actif dans la promotion d&#8217;une R\u00e9conciliation authentique au sein de son \u00e9cole.
