Comme indiqu\u00e9 dans mes pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes correspondances, ma priorit\u00e9 est de vous tenir inform\u00e9s de toute \u00e9volution reli\u00e9e au conflit de travail opposant la BC Public School Employers\u2019 Association (BCPSEA) au syndicat des enseignants de la Colombie\u00ad\u2010Britannique (BCTF).<\/p>\n

\u00c0 l\u2019heure o\u00f9 je m\u2019adresse \u00e0 vous, aucune information ne nous indique que la rentr\u00e9e scolaire pourrait avoir lieu dans les prochains jours. Il semblerait donc que pour une autre semaine (du 8 au 12 septembre) les \u00e9coles publiques de la Colombie-Britannique, incluant celles du Conseil scolaire francophone, demeureraient ferm\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

Je connais, pour \u00eatre moi-m\u00eame un parent, tous les d\u00e9fis que cette situation repr\u00e9sente pour les familles des \u00e9l\u00e8ves de l\u2019enseignement public. Je sais \u00e9galement l\u2019inqui\u00e9tude de tous au sujet de l\u2019atteinte des objectifs d\u2019apprentissage et de la pr\u00e9paration aux diff\u00e9rents examens de fin de scolarit\u00e9. \u00c0 cet effet, le bureau central du CSF, en collaboration avec le Conseil d\u2019administration, a \u00e9labor\u00e9 un plan de rattrapage des heures non enseign\u00e9es adaptable \u00e0 la dur\u00e9e du mouvement de contestation.<\/p>\n

Ce plan sera pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 dans quelques jours aux directions d\u2019\u00e9cole. Il vous sera par la suite, le temps venu, communiqu\u00e9. Il permettra d\u2019\u00e9viter en grande partie que la situation actuelle ne nuise au processus d\u2019apprentissage de nos enfants.<\/p>\n

As stated in my previous correspondence, I make a priority of keeping you informed of any development concerning the labour dispute between the BC Public School Employers\u2019 Association (BCPSEA) and the BC Teachers\u2019 Federation (BCTF).<\/p>\n

At this time, no information indicates that the school year could start in the coming days. This suggests that the public schools of British Columbia, including those of the CSF, would remain closed for another week (i.e. September 8th-12th).<\/p>\n

As a parent myself, I know the challenges this situation brings to families with students in the public education system. I am also aware of everyone\u2019s concern about the achievement of the learning goals and the preparation for various academic exams mandatory for graduation. The Head Office of the CSF, in collaboration with the Board, has developed a plan to remedial to the lost teaching hours. The plan is adjustable to the duration of the labour dispute. <\/p>\n

This plan, that will be presented to the School Principals in a few days and, in time, will be forward to you, will ensure the current situation doesn\u2019t negatively affect the learning process of your children.<\/p>\n

I take this opportunity to thank you again for your trust in the Francophone public education system, your patience and your cooperation with this conflict context.<\/p>\n
