MyEd BC FAQ
Q: I don’t have access to the Family Portal.
A: Please contact your child’s school office to make sure the e-mail address in your child’s contact information to which the login information was sent to you is correct.
Q: I have never received an email with the login ID and password for access to the Family Portal, etc.
A: Emails containing login credentials, password, etc. will come from an address such as email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org . If you have not received an email from MyEd, check your junk mail box or spam files, or contact your child’s school office to make sure your e-mail address is correct in the contact data of your child.
Q: What is my username and password?
A: Your username and password have been emailed to you. Please check your unwanted email folder, or contact your child’s school office.
Q: I forgot my password.
A: Please visit Forgot your password
Q: If the password fails or you have forgotten your login ID.
A: Please contact your child’s school office.
Q: I cannot connect to the family portal or have problems displaying items.
A: Personal computers may have unique restrictions. If you’re having trouble, the problem may be your web browser; try another browser such as Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Opera, MS Edge to connect. When you first log in to your account, use a computer because mobile devices do not work reliably when setting up accounts with MyEducation BC.
Q: I received more than one email with different login credentials.
A: If you receive multiple login credentials, this may be because the contact information in your children profiles are different and the system could not merge your accounts. Please contact your children’s school office so that they can make corrections in MyEducation BC.
Q: Why can I only see one of my children on the Family Portal?
A: If you can’t see one or more of your children when you sign into the Portal, this may be because the contact information in your children profiles are different and the system could not merge your accounts. Please contact your children’s school secretary who will make corrections in MyEducation BC.
Q: I can see the transcript of one of my children but not of the other.
A: Please contact your children’s school office.
Q: I do not see the Report Card for my child.
A: Please contact your child’s school office to ask them to republish it for you.
* Published Report Cards will remain on the system for a period of time. Published Report Cards are only available for the current school year. All current and previous course marks are on the transcript side tab. (Please see Accessing Student Information .)
Q: The contact information is incorrect.
A: Please contact your child(ren) school office to make the corrections.
