Bad weather conditions
Transportation service during bad weather
The Conseil scolaire francophone de la Colombie-Britannique (CSF) would like to inform parents, the community and all its staff that classes may be suspended during situations that could pose a threat to the health or safety of students and staff. If this kind of situation arises, there will be no classes. For safety reasons, we encourage families to keep their children at home.
According to the CSF’s policy I-900-2, the complete or partial closure of one or more schools may take place during an emergency situation (dangerous weather conditions, electrical or heating failure, lack of running water, fire, dangerous road conditions).
In this context, the CSF would like to inform parents that the school transportation service may be affected or interrupted during bad weather (snowstorms, icy conditions).
For information on the operation of buses and the situation at the school in their community during unusual situations, parents are asked to listen to Radio-Canada (CBUF) (97.7 FM) or the English-language radio chosen by the principal of your child’s school as the broadcaster for your community.
We also ask that you not directly contact bus companies for information so as to allow them to focus on their work of transporting our students.
For more information, please contact the administration of your child’s school.
