Transportation registration

School Transportation Information

Application for 2024-2025 will be accepted as of May 1st, 2024.

Important: We would like to remind everyone that respect is an important value within the CSF. No form of physical or verbal abuse will be tolerated in any interaction between transport companies, families and the CSF.

The CSF currently contracts for the operation of over 170 school bus routes providing school bus transportation service to CSF school students throughout B.C.

Changing student demographics requires a review of the bus routes each year, and to make adjustments where required. School bus routes are designed to service eligible students who have registered for the school bus before July 15 th,of each year. Parents are reminded that they must register their children for the school bus EACH YEAR.

School bus service is provided to eligible riders in accordance with the District Transportation Policy. Eligible riders are defined as students residing within their school catchment area and whose homes are situated beyond the walk limits defined in the Transportation Policy P-1201 & Administrative Guidelines DA-1001 https://www.csf.bc.ca/csf-eng/policies/.

How to register?

From May 1st to July 15th of the current year, parents must complete an online registration form for each child.

Although the registration site will remain open until September 30th, any registration received after July 15th will be processed as late, and a seat cannot be guaranteed for the child on the school bus.

For any registration after September 30th of the current year, a PDF form will be available for download and must be sent to the school.

Important:

  • Through the online registration request, parents can request the addition of a stop at a second address due to shared custody or the use of a licensed childcare service for an eligible user. The addition of a second stop must not alter or extend the existing route.
  • A valid email address is required for online registration. Parents who do not have an email address must contact the school for assistance.
  • Newly enrolled students at the CSF will need to register for school transportation during their enrollment by downloading the PDF form and sending it to the school.
  • Students joining a school at the start of the school year will need to register online for the transportation service.
  • The CSF cannot guarantee a bus seat at the start of the school year for students who were not registered during the enrolment period (May 1st to July 15th of the current year).

Many concerns typically raised by parents (traffic speed, construction, etc) are under the jurisdiction of the local municipality and may not be considered safety concerns in and of themselves.
