Online payment

 

The CSF offers families the possibility of paying school fees online. Parents and guardians can now use School Cash Online, a secure, quick, handy online portal.

Developed by the Canadian company KEV Group, School Cash Online strictly complies with Canadian personal information protection and electronic documents legislation and the Anti-Spam Act. Data collected when using this service is stored on Canadian servers. Also, School Cash Online complies with current payment security standards.

This online payment solution is now available for one CSF school:

The service will be extended over the course of 2019 to all CSF schools. Parents and guardians will receive a newsletter from the principal when this online payment service becomes available at the school.

Note: Please note that schools will still be accepting payments by cheque. However, online payment will be the preferred method.

How do I register ? 

Once you have received the newsletter confirming that the service is available for your school, you can register your child(ren).

1) Create your profile:

Go to the CSF’s School Cash Online site and click on “Register.”

*For security reasons, your password must be at least 8 characters long and include at least one upper-case letter, one lower-case letter and one number.

2) Confirm your email address:

3) Add a student : 

Click on “Add Student” and fill in the required fields with the details on your child.

  1. Enter the name of the school board.
  2. Enter the name of the school
  3. Enter your child’s given name, surname, and date of birth.
  4. Select “Continue
  5. On the following page, confirm your relationship with the child, check your consent, and select “Continue

Your child has now been added to your account.

4) See items or add another student : 

If you have more children, select “Add Another Student,” and go through the steps outlined above. A parent account may include up to 8 children. If you do not wish to add more children to your account, select the option “View Items For Students.” A list of items available for purchase will be displayed.

 

What forms of payment are accepted ?

Credit card – Visa / debit

You can make your payments using Visa or MasterCard by entering your credit card number, security code (the last three digits on the back of the card), expiry date and billing information.

eCheck

Anyone with a chequing or savings account can make payments by eCheck using School Cash Online. This is an electronic version of a paper cheque, used for online payment.

myWallet

myWallet also allows funds to be allocated for payment on a future date, just like a gift card. It is an online wallet that can contain funds and pay your child’s school fees on School Cash Online.

Q: Is registering for online payment mandatory for CSF students and will cheque or cash still be accepted?

A: Participation in online payment is optional. Parents and guardians will still be able to pay by cheque for school activities, but cash payments are not desirable. It helps to minimize the amount of cash in schools, and increases the safety of students who no longer need to carry large sums for payment. Thank you in advance for choosing payment by cheque or online payments (for the schools that offer that option).

Q: Which credit card options are available?

A: The credit card options available are Visa and MasterCard.

Q: Which company does CSF use to process online payments?

A: CSF uses School Cash Online, a product of the KEV Group. KEV is a Canadian company.

Q: Are my family’s purchases secure and how is our privacy protected?

A: School Cash Online adheres to the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada) (PIPEDA), Canada’s anti-spam legislation (CASL) and is compliant with the latest industry standards for payment card security (PCI). Q: When will the money be deducted from my bank account?

A: Most payments are deducted within three to five business days, depending on the individual banking institution

Q: Will I get a receipt for purchases?

A: The individual who paid for the item will receive confirmation of the purchase on screen once payment has been successfully processed. They are able to print a copy of the electronic receipt by clicking the “Print” icon. This information is also recorded in the “Payment History” tab. A receipt will also be emailed to the email address associated with the system account.

Q: What should I do if I need a refund?

A: Please contact your school office if you would like to request refunds for any items purchased.

Q: Can parents and guardians have separate accounts?

A: Yes. School Cash Online was designed for parents to have individual accounts. Students can be added to up to five different accounts.

Q: Do I need to re-register a student who moves to a different school?

A: If the student is moving to another school within the district, and School Cash Online is available for that school, then the items for the student will automatically be updated to reflect the new school.

Q: What should I do if I cannot locate my child in the system?

A: Contact your child’s school to confirm the student’s details (usual first name, last name and birth date) to ensure they match exactly to what was entered in the school’s records.

Q: What should I do if I cannot locate my child’s school in the system?

A: CSF is implementing the application in several waves. Not all schools have started online payment at the same time. Consult the VSB website for a list of schools currently accepting online payment.

Q: What should I do if I cannot see items I am expecting?

A: Each school creates their own items for purchase and assigns them to its students. Once assigned, they will appear in the “Student Items” tab on School Cash Online. Please contact your child’s school if you do not see the item you are looking for.

Q: What should I do if I forget my login or password?

A: Click on “Sign In” at the top right of the page and then click on “Forgot your password?” to reset your password. A temporary password will be sent to the email address registered with your account.

Q: Why does School Cash Online need my email address?

A: Your email address is needed for your username to log into the system, to email you receipts for payments or donations made, and to enable you to receive email notifications of school events and activities.

Q: How often will I receive email notifications?

A: Email notifications are sent weekdays when new items have been posted and assigned to your child. If there are no new items, you will not be sent an email notification. A reminder notification may be sent for items that have not yet been paid.

Q: What emails will I get from School Cash Online?

A: You will only receive emails for new items available for purchase, your receipts, and any payment reminders.
